Lake Tahoe and Santa Cruz

Ron and I made it to Lake Tahoe after our short visit to Reno and I had to break him out of the pokey.
Happily I was reunited with a dear college friend Nancy and her husband Dave
in their vacation home in Incline Village in North Lake Tahoe. We hiked, flew the drone,
and had lots of wine and laughs.
Then we were off to visit my sister Mary and her husband in Scotts Valley by Santa Cruz. We went walking in the Redwood forest.
We finally made it coast to coast and saw the Pacific.
We traveled down the Pacific Coast Highway and stopped in the quaint town of Carpentaria for the night. We somehow landed at a motel frequented by farm workers and the only food establishments that were open at 7:30pm were a 7-11 and gas station. The hotel amenities consisted of a bar of soap, a double bed  and two plastic cups. But the topper was the car alarm going off at 6am. However, we happily arrived in Redondo Beach today and we look forward to spending the next five days with Orion and Elle.
